Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate LPN-Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team in New York. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with registered nurses and physicians to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and assisting with daily activities
- Monitor patients' health conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Document patients' medical histories, symptoms, and treatments accurately
- Perform routine laboratory tests and assist in diagnostic procedures
- Educate patients and their families about various healthcare topics and self-care techniques
- Ensure the proper functioning of medical equipment and monitor inventory levels
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
- Adhere to regulatory standards and guidelines in healthcare practices
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid LPN license in New York State
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other clinical software
